About!

Mari is a shy, quite little (4'5"!) Raen conjurer. She’s a bit of an awkward woman, anxiety a regular for her in most situations. Introvert. She tries her best :) Despite a bubbling anxiousness, Mari is a little ray of sunshine when she starts to get comfortable around others. Mari really is an excitable and lovable woman at her core.Mari was born in Kugane, but relatively young her family and her moved to Thavnair where she grew up. Her parents had split fairly early into her childhood, causing a good amount of trauma about relationships. Her parents eventually got along after they were separated but the emotional turmoil had already been experienced by Mari. Mari saw how her father was and it was one of her main reasons for having little to no attraction to men.Mari worked at a bar in Thavnair as a waitress and regularly met lots of people. Her awkwardness made it hard to really do good in the position and she eventually quit. She did manage to meet her girlfriend there. Her name was Saran, and Xaela woman living in Thavnair. The two hit it off right away and soon after moved in together. The relationship last a couple years before the pair began to drift apart. Saran eventually left her and Thavnair all together to go adventure and hone her pictomancy skills. Mari stayed for some time after, living alone and mostly shutting herself off from the world.After experiencing her parents messy separation and her own relationship falling apart she grew scared of them. She yearned for intimacy and closeness but is very anxious about it, scared of messing it up or being abandoned.As she grew older she decided she wanted to see more of the world and began to travel. As much as Thavnair is her home she needed to get away, see the star and get by putting her conjury skills to use for those who may need. A healer for hire!Mari is mostly a loner, with her connection issues she finds it hard to really invest in others. She wants to but struggles. Such is life that she’ll try and seek others from time to time in hopes it doesn’t end poorly. Even besides relationships she has little to no friends. A few she knows back in Thavnair but almost none out in her travels. Mari is used to being alone.
